After a nice weekend away I have returned full of enthusiasm and ideas.
So far I have organised two pretty successful Pure Acoustica events.
There may have been a few wrinkles and they may not have been perfect BUT: All the acts turned up, they all sounded great, the audience were appreciative and keen to hear more.
It could all have gone horribly wrong. Before the gigs I had only met a handful of the artists, having only heard MP3s online. I hadn't actually spoken to most of you, just texts and emails.
Ensuring that the audience is in the best possible environment to appreciate what we do is one of the things I want to improve as well as matching artists to venues.
From late July to early September, I will be devoting a lot of time and effort into developing Pure Acoustica.
The website will be totally to developed to include things such as Home Concerts, Private Parties, Weddings and possibly some corporate work.
I'm aiming at at least one of each per year, Pure Acoustica won't fit every event and I'm not thinking about mass appeal or watering down the edginess of what we do.
I'm going to develop the niche factor of Pure Acoustica and also promote the environmental aspects of Pure Acoustica events.
My pod-casts include at least 2 tracks from Pure Acoustica artists and are becoming more and more popular with 1944 downloads to date. That's an average of 176 per episode.
Please keep sending me tracks to include plus if you fancy coming over for an interview that would be great.
I do need you to keep your reverbnation profile up to date, especially your shows as I use that information when booking other events. Also there are Pure Acoustica widgets with that information all over the place, so others can also check out what you are doing.
There are more developments in the pipeline but I don't want to swamp you with info.
